Fun with latex

Currently I am experimenting with latex as a medium towards my model and proof of concept. So far I have been developing various shapes as well as connections. Some of the discoveries that I have found was that brass models caused the latex to react and produce a brown finish.

As I continue to develop the latex process I will start to embed wiring as well as start assembling multiple latex components together.

These drawings are part of my exploration of the Able Warehouse. Originally when drawing the interiors were based on what I could see through the openings of the building as well as placement of structural components such as stairwells and elevator shafts. The drawings would further develop when I decided to explore the interiors. Once the inner structure was understood I implemented a narrative of how people would re-inhabit the space and based their habitation on what is needed to establish a place, mechanical systems such as electricity, ventilation, heating as well as plumbing have been considered.

As my narrative develops I intend to develop space based on how various mechanical systems network itself through the space.
